Cheyanne Proud is a graphic design student studying at the Queensland College of Art in Brisbane, Australia. She has a unique typographic approach which beautifully combines an analogue and digital outcome. Check out her online folio showcasing a number of selected projects, her layout ability and eccentric style is particularly of note.
This past week Sonnezimmer have been at CalArts doing a screen printing practicum with undergraduate graphic design students. 18 students have made 150 four-color screen prints in only twelve hours, with the help of Sonnenzimmer and their assistant Thomas Kracauer. We were also lucky enough to have them give a lecture tonight.

A little bit about them:
Sonnenzimmer is the Chicago-based studio of Nick Butcher and Nadine Nakanishi. Merging backgrounds in typography, printmaking, graphic design and fine art. We create hand-crafted posters, books, and music packaging for a wide array of clients, all printed in-house.

Aldis Ozolins is an extremely talented 3rd year graphic design student (focusing on illustration) at Art Center. He is a well balanced creative making a wide variety of work. He has a strong body of both illustration work and design/identity. I recommend going to his portfolio and seeing his vast identity projects as well as his sketchbook. Great work Aldis!
Nicole Ginelli is a graphic designer operating out of lovely San Francisco. She describes her aesthetic as a kind of “quirky minimalism”. She shows lots of variety in her projects from custom lettering to clean and minimal typographic treatments. Go have a look, you won’t be disappointed.

Luke Robertson is a recently graduated graphic designer from Brisbane, Australia. Luke’s work is complimented by his knowledgable approach in typography and identity design. He is currently working for ‘The Letter D‘, a design studio based in Brisbane. Check out his online folio where you can witness some more of his design infused talent!
Marcus Hollands a recent graphic design graduate located in Brisbane, Australia. He has an extremely strong portfolio full of fresh and interesting print work, specifically editorial design. He also has a keen eye for graphic design and runs a tumblr full of inspiring work.
With that said, I’d like to welcome Marcus as our newest Contributor to FISK. We’re extremely excited about this and are eager to see more student work outside of CalArts.
Nina Lilliebjerg is a 21 year old graphic designer, currently completing her second year of Graphic Design at Edinburgh College of Art, after a Foundation year at Chelsea College of Art. Her projects have lots of depth with different aspects to each. Not to mention her awesome publication designs that play with different materials, formats, and methods of production. Check her out!
